The Outback Experience

Outback Australia is a truly amazing place. All Australians should experience in some way the outback to gain a true appreciation of our most unique land and culture.

This 15 day tour explores the depths of outback NSW in such a way that you can discover many aspects of Outback life while continually feeling the safety of a group, support vehicles and guides (including a mechanic of 20 years experience).

This tour starts in Dubbo with entry to Dubbo Zoo included. We visit back o' Bourke to explore all it has to offer, and camp near the Darling River with kangaroos visiting daily. We visit Whitecliffs where we stay in underground accommodation with the chance to try your luck at opal fossicking. The outback private stations are a fascinating stay. Each station has it's own special history and there is a chance to take part in daily activities such as helping with the feeding of a kid or lamb.

Some of the activities you can expect on this tour include fishing in the Darling at Trilby Station, catching yabbies, camel wagon ride, bush poetry, four wheel driving, paddle boat ride, a comprehensive bus tour of Bourke, opportunity to view Aboriginal rock art and/or take an art class, outback pub hospitality and not to mention the race day at Louth.

In the 15 days there are six different camp places we stay and one motel stop. We also have five very special and very different main dinners, one lunch and one cooked breakfast catered for us. The rest of the tour is self catered.
